The main focus of Diadem Sixth Form life is, of course, academic A-Level study, broad and stimulating educational foundation programme, going over and beyond the pressures of exam study.
Thus, Sixth Formers have the opportunity to exercise responsibilities and leadership within the school community through the extracurricular and House system with marriage of lesson and social activities in a blended heterogeneous curriculum for the benefit of the Sixth Former.
In addition to being at the leading edge of the school community, students in the Sixth form of Diadem institute of advanced studies Lekki will also come to realize that the relationship between them and their subject teachers is perceptibly different from previous schooling years. Whilst respect for the teacher as an instructor is always maintained, much of the stimulus of A-Level study comes from approaching it as more of a partnership between teacher and student.
A more informal relationship, built upon mutual respect, is thus developed over the periods studies in the school for the benefit of all.
In short, there is much to look forward to in the Sixth Form. Within the familiar structures, we hope that there is the opportunity to reach for new and exciting personal goals, both academic and social – the opportunity to ‘seize the day’!

Only exceptional applicants are accepted onto this programme and these applicants must have previous study experience equivalent to A Level Standard.
They must also have previous knowledge of at least two of the subject areas they wish to pursue.

Minimum age: 17 years at the start of the academic year

Entry requirements: Minimum of 5 credits in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics
The University Foundation Programme (UFP) is a one-year course designed specifically for international applicants. It helps students who have completed High School education prepare for the demands of undergraduate study at university. Diadem has a strong foundation programme that is recognized by UK universities and therefore offers international students an alternative route into university.
The programme provides twenty-five hours a week of directed study, as well as supervised study periods and extracurricular activities. Students study six subject areas in total and the modules taught in each subject are based on the A Level syllabus. Three of these subjects are compulsory and three are chosen based on the student’s career path. The core subjects are mathematics, communication skills and information technology (IT) and these subjects ensure the students are equipped with the necessary communication, analytical and numerical skills for university.
Assessment: All elective modules are subject to three written examinations and these are taken at equal intervals during the course.
